Since January 1, 2023, employers with 15+ employees in Washington must provide: wage scale or salary range plus a general description of benefits in each posting.

How to use this law when negotiating

The posted range tells you the employer's budget — anchor near its top. Then cross-check against the federal payroll data for your role: if the posting tops out below the market P75, that gap is your documented case for more. Look up your market rate on the salary pages or check if you're underpaid.
