Since June 1, 2025, employers with 10+ employees in New Jersey must provide: hourly wage or salary (or range) and a general description of benefits in postings.

How to use this law when negotiating

The posted range tells you the employer's budget โ€” anchor near its top. Then cross-check against the federal payroll data for your role: if the posting tops out below the market P75, that gap is your documented case for more. Look up your market rate on the salary pages or check if you're underpaid.
